Loewenbraeu
Loewenbraeu – the traditional Munich brewing company
Want to learn about beer tradition? Loewenbraeu is one of the oldest
Munich brewing companies that produces a traditional Munich-style beer
according to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot).
Loewenbraeu was first brewed back in 1383 by an innkeeper named “Zum
Löwen” (The Lion’s Inn). Loewenbraeu means ‘Lion’s brew”. Loewenbraeu
is one of the major tents at the Munich Octoberfest, where you can see
a huge Lion in front of the beer tent. Here they offer the special
Loewenbraeu Octoberfest beer.
