Quarter-Hour Cuckoo Clock
Made in the German Black Forest, cuckoo-clocks are known all over the world. Not only for the funny cuckoos, that give them their name, but also for their high quality.
This cuckoo-clock is the home of a really industrious bird, that appears no less than every 15 minutes to let out a cheerful "cuckoo!" The sound comes from two bellows, which are automatically inflated by the clockwork.
The beautifully crafted, wooden clock itself has a size of 8.6" in height, 6.7" in breadth and 4.3" in depth. To this, another approx. 70" are needed for the decorative metal pine-cone that hangs from a golden chain under the clock and makes the clockwork tick. The centre of pendulum of the clock can be adjusted, so that it always swings in the right rhythm. An easily understandable manual is included, of course. Altogether, the quarter-hour cuckoo-clock weighs about 900g.
